What should non-profits consider when reviewing their fund development program?Non-profits should regularly review their fund development programs, and here are five points to consider: 1. What is the strength of your relationships with members, clients, volunteers and current funders? Is there work to do there? 2. What is the level of awareness of, and integration with, your organization’s mission among board and staff? 3. Do you have a current and feasible strategic plan? Is it reviewed and understood by all stakeholders? 4. Do you have strong policies that govern fundraising activities and gift acceptance? Are they available and understood by staff, volunteers and donors? 5. Have you reviewed long-standing fundraising activities for effectiveness? Is the return on your time investment sufficient to continue? Julie Mikuska
