Event Planning

Laura Mikuska caught the event-planning bug early. At only 11 years old she and twin sister Julie were coordinating their little brother's birthday parties, down to the last tail pinned on the donkey.

These days, Laura ensures the smooth delivery of more grown-up fare - like organizing an international congress for nearly 6,000 scholars that required a major book fair, several special events, speakers and public discussion. Big or small, Laura approaches every occasion with absolute attention to detail. And she strongly believes in treating all parties involved with the same respect and appreciation: from the maintenance crew to the VIPs.

“Events are complex. It makes sense to hire an expert.”
Laura Mikuska

“Our philosophy is straightforward – every event is the main event. Our passion is your successful event and we take pride in delivering the services necessary to make it happen.”

“We are also committed to green meeting practices and will ensure your event is as environmentally friendly as possible.”

Having Laura on board for your event (whether it's a fundraising dinner, a retreat, a regional meeting or a conference) will take the burden off staff and volunteers, allowing you to focus on content rather than delivery, and reduce your stress level - even in those final days and hours leading up to the big moment. Laura says: “If you're running around like a chicken with its head cut off, I haven't done my job.” Hiring Laura to lead the way will also save you time and money.

She excels in the non-profit and academic sectors, and knows the processes involved in these organizations and academic institutions inside out. She also knows how to best work with volunteers, boards and committees.
